Latest Update to Pupils and Parents: week beginning 07.06.21

Dear Pupils and Parents,

We welcome everyone back to school on Monday, 7th June 2021 a year older as our new timetable begins.  All pupils will be starting with their tutors this morning and receiving their new timetables as well as information particular to their new year group.  It is also an opportunity to reacquaint themselves with their tutors or to meet new tutors.  There will, as with any new timetable, be teething issues especially around Senior Phase options so please bear with us as we work through these.  Any pupils in S5 or S6 wishing to make changes to their options or finding a mistake on their timetable must complete a Google form rather than coming to see anyone at this time.  It is a more efficient way for the school to manage the process and all information on this can be found here.

The latest updates regarding the SQA Alternative Certification Model 2021 can be found here.  Information has been published around the appeals process and it is important that pupils familiarise themselves with this.  This week, the Senior Leadership Team will be meeting with Faculty Heads to discuss the moderation processes that have been ongoing in teams so far and across schools in Aberdeenshire and discussing the data and results that are now in place.  Alongside that we continue to receive feedback from the SQA on subject areas and the quality assurance processes that they have in place so it is a continual cycle of discussion.  At the end of this week we will have a further update for pupils and parents on the final stage of the process leading up to the summer holidays.

The Pupil and Parent Information Site continues to be updated with relevant information for you and we look forward to welcoming S1 parents (now S2 parents) to our final Parent Evening of the year on Tuesday, 15th June 2021 from 16.00-18.30.  Parents should have received information on this direct to their email boxes but if this is not the case please contact the school on 01569 690550 and the office staff will get things sorted for you.

Here’s hoping the good weather continues this week.
