Understanding what goes on in school and having a say in what happens there is important to all of us. The purpose of the Parent Council is to provide a voice for all our parents and carers, working with the school and the local authority on issues that are important to us and our children. As parents and carers we have a lot to offer the school in terms of interests, skills, and experience and it is this partnership that helps to support the education and welfare of our children.
Being involved in the Parent Council can involve as much or as little time as you like. In terms of time we meet every 2 months for approximately 2 hours where we discuss any current issues and often arrange for people to come and talk to us about services associated with the school.

In 2018-19 the Parent Council had a rotating chair with Kim Milton as the Vice-Chair; Rhona Grant is clerk to the Parent Council. In 2019-20 posts for the Parent Council will be reviewed at the AGM. This will take place on Wednesday, 4th September 2019 in the Library from 19.00-21.00.
All meetings start at 7pm and finish by 9pm at the latest. The dates for the 2019-20 will be confirmed at the AGM in September 2019.
